Items you will need are:
 
  • Yarn
  • Hot Glue Gun OR Sew Needle and white or black thread
  • Scissors

1) Start by wrapping yarn around your hand with you fingers spread apart shown below. Then cut it, also shown below.

2) Now using the yarn that you now have a small or large pile of, take a few pieces from the pile. Fold them in half (as shown below) and tie a knot at the end.

3) Now that you've done that, use a metal toothed brush and brush out the yarn until it's soft and furry.
 
You can use any of the following to fray the yarn:
  • Wool/Yarn Card
  • Flicker
  • Dog metal toothed hair brush (recommended by cost quality)

4) Now using a Glue Gun, put some glue on the 'bulb' of the knot and press the bulb onto the unitards shoulder. Repeat this until the area is covered.
OR
Now using a sewing needle and thread, stick the needle through the bulb in the knot. Then sew the frayed yarn into the shoulder of the unitard. Repeat until the area is covered.
